Pizza Express Voucher front and back

Premium UK pizza chain Pizza Express included this A6 (folded to A7) voucher in with frozen versions of their pizza for redemption in their restaurants. It accomplishes a few things:

  1. Serves as an on-pack promo to increase retail sales
  2. Cross promotes restaurant brand
  3. Encourages trial at restaurant
  4. Aligns brand with ‘friendship’ concept - also encouraging WOM (i.e. to the friend you bring)
  5. Serves as a data capture mechanism for future marketing
  6. Built in tracking by asking for postcode info
  7. Some degree of market research by asking for date of last visit

All accomplished with a simple promo offer.

In other words, think twice before you have your next sale - could you being doing something more productive?

A little about us ...

Really Practical Marketing is marketing brain food.

Written with small businesses, professional service firms, entrepreneurs and startups in mind, we bring together (un)commonsense ideas, marketing tips, strategies and case studies. Hopefully you'll find plenty of ideas to take away and try - regardless of your budget or size of your business.

As a company, and in addition to our own content and freelance writing projects, we also provide writing services for small businesses keen to invest in content marketing strategies in their own businesses - be that blogging, customer newsletters, articles or any other form of written content.

We can help create content, turn great ideas into words and even do some good 'ol fashioned copywriting too.
