We Launch Business Ideas Site – Iddictive.com

in RPMC

iddictive.com

Part of what we do here at Really Practical is to develop ideas for custom content projects – some of them for clients, some to partner with others on and some we’ll end up running with ourselves.

Iddictive.com – Addicted to Innovative Business Ideas

Iddictive.com is something that’s been floating around in my head for a while – a site dedicated to innovative and/or interesting business ideas, nothing else.

Inspired by sites like Springwise and Trendhunter, the idea is to deliver a mix of clever startups, a few of our own business ideas and some revealing twists on ‘classic’ business models.

From a business perspective, Iddictive is intended to help us grow our own profile and audience amongst entrepreneurs and innovation-minded business owners – and we hope it’ll encourage a few potential clients to consider similar custom content projects.

For example, a consultant in the ‘green business’ field might consider a blog about green trends and  green entrepreneurship, a nightclub might start a customer magazine focusing on local culture, style and lifestyle trends.

Anyway, have a look, subscribe if you like and then let us know what you think. If you like the idea, then please feel free to help spread the word.

Congratulations on the new “idea” – looking forward to checking it out.

Thanks Joe, we’re only just starting to add ideas into the site but if nothing else, it’s certainly fun to write – my personal favourite so far is ‘mantyhose – pantyhose for men’.

Great new site Mark,

I have to say that the “Mantyhose” article is also a favourite of mine (but I doubt I will ever give them a try – even at the weekend!) It’s an excellent example of a site that could work for a wide range of different companies. I’ll certainly be keeping an eye on it.

I’m glad TrendHunter.com inspired you. Thanks for the cred. Good luck!

@Nigel – Thanks for the kind words and for taking the time to leave them. I’m hoping, as you said, it’ll act as an example of the kind of content that small businesses could adopt easily.

@Jeremy – Hi Jeremy. Trendhunter is certainly an inspiration (I check in daily) and I’ve mentioned it here a few times as a great example of where content can go and is going – it’s amazing what you’ve been able to accomplish in such a short space of time.

I think there’s a natural fascination with the new and innovative. Hopefully Iddictive will similarly inspire a few people to develop content about what’s new and exciting in their fields of interest – and business.
