What do you do when you have a subject that is often easier to explain visually? You create a video site to explain it of course. And that’s exactly what Wordpress have done with their newly launched Wordpress.tv site.
In addition to video tutorials, Wordpress.tv also features interview pieces, video from live Wordpress events and welcomes submissions of 3rd party videos and tutorials that users find elsewhere.
In short, this is great content – it educates, it encourages users to become more involved, it facilitates easy sharing and it even makes use of other people’s content.
Online text still has major benefits over online video (SEO in particular) but the barriers to using video are falling every day.
Does your content lend itself to video, or screen casts or other visual media? More to the point, would your prospects benefit from a more visual approach?
Certainly something to experiment with.

I agree with you: I’m very impressed with the new Wordpress site, and it’s definitely a better way to train and teach.
Very excited to see Wordpress do this. The tutorials will really provide a lot of value to the public! Makes it even more of an inclusive hub to learn and grow with the entire wordpress/automatic community.
